A few zip teeth missing near top of zip

And a few teeth missing from bottom

Start by using a blunt knife blade to cut old stitching

And remove one side of old zip

Mark with chalk marker to line up new zip

Glue new zip
0
And glue jacket
0
Stick new zip in place
0
Then do same to other side of zip
0
Take care to line everything up
0
Start to re-stitch new zip into jacket
0
Zip is now stitched into jacket and looks pretty good
0
Use a small piece of wire wool to distress zip to match other zips on jacket
0
All finnished, looks as good as new
