Use a small piece of wire wool to distress zip to match other zips on jacket

Then zip up to test new zip is working properly

Put new leather tab on to zip puller

Stitch bottom tab and then stitch the restof zip int boot

Then glue rest of zip into boot

Best to double stitch this part

Stitch bottom 4" (10cm) in to boot

When dry stitch bottom of zip in first, as this is main part

then allow to dry for about half an hour

Then glue bottom 4" (10cm) of zip in to boot
0
Glue new zip in place at the bottom and make sure it is in the centre
0
Get your new zip of same size
0
Open boot and make sure all old zip has been completly removed
0
zip is now fully out of boot
0
Take care at the bottom as this part of the zip is well fixed in
0
Cut stitching to relese zip out of boot
0
Old zip, nylon teeth have worn
0
New zip fitted and folly working, ready to wear again.

Broken zip in need or replacement

Re-stitch and jobs done

Cut elastic to size and fit to strap.
0
Fit new elastic to buckle.
0
Measure new piece of elastic
0
Remove old elastic.
0
Unpick old stitching.

Buckle elastic in need of repair.
